FAQ
How many photos will I receive?
This is a tough one to answer as the exact amount will differ for each wedding. I will usually take well over 2000 photos... but do I deliver that many? Goodness no! In fact, I usually do not even deliver half that. This is a good time to bring up the old 'quality vs. quantity' debate. I only want to give my couples images that beautifully and accurately reflect the day. I do not want to overwhelm them with 10 images of the exact same thing and make them decide which one is best. I would say an average amount to expect would be 50-75 per hour of coverage.
Do I get the 'rights' to all delivered photos?
There is much confusion as to what this actually means. What you will get is a 'print release' which means you will have my permission (in a document) to print wherever you choose. However, I will maintain the rights to ownership, reproduction and publication. Meaning, I own the photos and can use as I wish (on my website, social media, printed samples in studio, etc). So while I will grant you the rights to print the images, you do not own the images themselves.
Will the photos be edited?
Yes, I only deliver images that have been fully processed and edited. This includes my basic editing I do for all weddings. A select few of the posed formals that show close ups of the couple's faces will most likely be edited further. Any special requests such as removing a person or people, or any other editing deemed excessive will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis and may incur an additional charge. (I do not offer unedited/RAW files).
When will I receive the images?
This will differ depending on time of year. My goal is to get all weddings out within 10 weeks. However, during the busy season from August-October, this may take longer. During the off season, it may take less!
Do you travel and if so, is there a travel fee?
I do travel! Travel fee of $1/mile (there and back) will be charged for locations outside a 30 mile radius of De Pere, Wisconsin. Weddings over 90 miles away will also require a hotel stay ($200-$300).
I am available for destination weddings and would love to work out a custom quote for you based on your location/venue.
How do I book?
To reserve your wedding date, the first step is to contact me to make sure I have your date available. If I do, we'll then address any questions you have, etc. If you decide we are a good fit, then I will prepare and send your contract as well as an invoice to pay your $1000 retainer. The retainer is applied to the total balance due. Once the contract is signed and the retainer is paid you are all set! The total balance will be due 1 month prior to your wedding date. (I also offer monthly payment plans leading up to the month before your wedding).
